Chandana Prasanna

Chandana Prasanna (born May 13, 1983) is a Sri Lankan director, writer, producer, cinematographer and editor. He is perhaps best known as the most crowd-pleasing Short Film maker in Sri Lanka, with fairly low budgets and fast schedules. |- He shoots and produces many of his films in Colombo and Kurunegala. Chandana Prasanna was born in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka. His first short film, "Ape Kalaye weerayek" (A Hero of Our Era) was awarded Best Topten Short film in 2005 at the Film Festival held by Sri Lanka National Film Corporation. |-This short film attracted enough attention to encourage him to seriously attempt a career as a filmmaker.
