Chastisement

Chastisement decided to become a "serious" band in 1995, but they didn't record and release a demo until 1997. The original members were Marcus Edvardsson and Fredrik Magnusson (both guitarists). With some member changes, Magnusson was replaced by Tommy Larsson, but not before he recommended Nils Fjellström for the vacant drummer slot. Nicklas Linnes and Johan Klitkou round out the current line-up. When vocalist Johan Klitkou was asked about the line-up in a 2004 interview with The Metal Observer, Klitkou stated: "Chastisement was started by Marcus and he quickly recruited Nils and later on I and Tommy joined, I think everything has been running smoothly so far, both albums have gotten good reviews and we are eager for the big break...
