Conchita Bautista

María Concepción (Conchita) Bautista Fernández (born 27 October 1936, Seville) is a Spanish singer and actress, best known for her participation in the Eurovision Song Contests of 1961 and 1965. Bautista moved from her native Andalucía to Madrid in her teens and quickly established herself as an actress, appearing in a number of films in the 1950s. At the same time she was earning a reputation as an interpreter of Andalucían music and gained a recording contract with the Columbia label.
