Crazy Lady!

Crazy Lady! is a children's novel by Jane Leslie Conly. It was published in 1993 and was one of the Newbery Honor books of 1994. The book is set in the Tenley Heights section of Baltimore, Maryland, about which little is known except for the fact that Memorial Stadium, then-home of the Baltimore Orioles, is in the neighborhood. The time period is sometime in the early 1980s. Young adolescent Vernon Dibbs is the book's protagonist, narrating the story in flashback style. At the beginning of the story Vernon is talking to his tutor, Miss Annie, who is a former teacher that helped Vernon with his schoolwork, about how many years have passed and how they can still remember what happened.
