Curtis Lofton

Curtis Tremayne Lofton (born June 2, 1986) is a linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners. In 2007 he was named Big 12 defensive player of the year and an All-America selection. Lofton opted out of his senior season and declared himself eligible for the 2008 NFL Draft. He was considered the top middle linebacker in the draft. Lofton was born in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. A three-year letterman and starter, he also played fullback. He led team in tackles with 168 his senior year and 505 over his career, his team won the 3A state championship in 2003 and advanced to semifinals in 2004 . He rushed for 12 touchdowns as a senior.
