Dambusters

Dambusters is a war film to be produced by Peter Jackson and directed by first-time director Christian Rivers. It is a remake of the 1954 film ''The Dam Busters'', telling the story of No. 617 Squadron RAF and the Operation ''Chastise'' attack on German dams on May 17 1943 in World War II using bouncing bomb. It will be distributed by Universal Pictures and StudioCanal. Much of the film will be shot in Wellington, New Zealand, with some filming in the United Kingdom also likely. Ten full-size models of the Avro Lancaster aircraft will be built by Weta Workshop.
