Dan Satterfield

Dan Satterfield, lovingly referred to as "Dan the Man" by Tennessee Valley residents, is an AMS Certified Chief meteorologist for WHNT-TV in Huntsville, Alabama. Dan attended the University of Oklahoma to receive his degree in Meteorology in 1981. While at Oklahoma University, he was on the NOAA Severe storm intercept team. He has worked for TV and radio stations in Oklahoma, Florida and Alabama. He has recently received a Masters degree in Earth Science. A full member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS), Dan has been elected a member of the International Association of Broadcast Meteorologists.
