Dave Edwards

David Monroe Edwards (born December 14, 1939 in Abbeville, Alabama) is a former American football linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. At 6'1" and 198 lbs, Edwards played college football at Auburn University, where he earned a degree in physical education. He was a two-way player at end, and won honors as an All-Southeastern Conference. After being drafted by the Denver Broncos in the 1962 American Football League Draft, Edwards didn't play for the Broncos, instead he opted to sign with the NFL's Dallas Cowboys as a free agent in 1963.
