David Quammen

David Quammen (born February 1948) is a science, nature and travel writer whose work has appeared in publications such as National Geographic, Outside, Harper's, Rolling Stone, and The New York Times Book Review. He wrote a column, called "Natural Acts", for Outside magazine for fifteen years. Quammen lives in Bozeman, Montana. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, David Quammen was drawn to Montana in the early 1970s for the trout fishing. He graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1966. Quammen is a Yale graduate and former Rhodes Scholar; during his graduate studies at Oxford, he studied literature, concentrating on the works of William Faulkner. Articles
