David Ray Stephens

David Ray Stephens (born January 13, 1962) is an independent songwriter, recording artist and record producer based in Camarillo, CA. A 1984 graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Percussion Performance, Stephens displayed an early prodigy for the drums and piano before branching out to guitar, bass, electronic keyboards and other instruments during high school. Though Stephens is an exceptional vocalist possessing an extended baritenor range; his original recorded efforts in the early 1980s were tapped mainly to help showcase the vocal talents of his then-girlfriend (later first wife) when her singing came to the notice of a California agent.
