David Rosengarten

David Rosengarten (b. January 25, 1950, in New York, New York), the son of Leonard Rosengarten, a garment industry executive, by the former Lorraine Stein, is an American chef, author and television personality, who has hosted more than 2500 television program episodes. He became a chef in spite of having had no professional training as one, being entirely self-taught. He married Constance Childs on October 15, 1983. He has two children, Andrea and Sarah. Rosengarten attended Colgate University where he earned a B.A. in 1971, holds a doctorate in dramatic literature from Cornell University (1980), and was an assistant professor of theater at Skidmore College.
