Edward Cheng

Edward Cheng is the founder of a Stanford University research centre, which has now been commercialized as EGI OMM, which is the parent company of social networking site MeetWe. Prior to founding EGI and OCT Research Laboratory, Edward spent 14 years in Silicon Valley holding various management and system architect positions in software R&D organizations. He last held the position of Director of the Collaborative Computing Lab at Oracle Corporation. He has led R&D teams at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he filed 2 worldwide patents in workflow and OLTP.
