Edward Montgomery

Edward William Montgomery (1885 – September 1948) was a politician in Manitoba, Canada. He served in the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba from 1927 to 1932, and served as a cabinet minister in the government of John Bracken. Montgomery was a medical doctor. He was elected to the Manitoba legislature as a Progressive in the 1927 provincial election, for the constituency of Winnipeg. At the time, Winnipeg elected ten members by a single transferable ballot. Montgomery finished seventh on the first count, and was declared elected for the final position on the twenty-first count.
