Election Night

"Election Night" is episode 72 of The West Wing. On Election Day, Bartlet and his staff begin counting exit poll votes across the country. In the conservative 47th district of California, the results have important implications for Sam Seaborn and a maverick Democratic Party campaign manager, Will Bailey. Throughout the day, the President suffers a mild MS attack which Abbey notices during the President's victory speech when he goes off the teleprompter. Meanwhile, Donna meets an intriguing Navy Lieutenant Commander, Jack Reese (Christian Slater), who has been transferred to the White House as Deputy Military Aide. The song played at the end is a cover of Bob Dylan's song The Times They Are a-Changin' by Richie Havens.
