Emirates Stadium

Ashburton Grove, known for sponsorship reasons as the Emirates Stadium or simply The Emirates is an association football stadium located in Islington, North London, England. It is the current home of Arsenal Football Club since 2006. At a capacity of 60,355, the Emirates is the third-largest football stadium in England after Wembley and Old Trafford and 25th-largest in Europe. Arsenal started looking to develop a larger stadium during the later part of the 1990s, as their existing ground at Highbury had a capacity of 38,419 when it became all-seater in 1993, which was lower than the stadium capacities of almost every other European football club of comparable stature.
