Eugene J. Carpenter House

The Eugene J. Carpenter House, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a house listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its owner, Eugene J. Carpenter, was an executive of Carpenter Brothers Lumber Company, as well as vice-chairman of the Minneapolis Society of Fine Arts. Before he moved in, he had the house remodeled from the Queen Anne style to the Georgian Revival style. This was done by removing the wraparound porches and multi-gabled roof, then by building a symmetrical facade under a dormered hip roof.
