Everybody Wins

Everybody Wins is a play written by Arthur Miller, who also wrote the screenplay for the film of the same name directed by Karel Reisz released in 1990 starring Debra Winger and Nick Nolte. A prominent doctor from New England has been murdered, and his young nephew has been convicted for the crime. A local girl, a seductive sometime prostitute named Angela Crispini, persuades a private investigator, Tom O'Toole, to look into the case. She claims that the youth is innocent and that "everybody" knows who the real killer is. What is going on? Why have the town officials conspired to convict the wrong man?
