Farrokh Shahr (Persian: فرخ شهر; formerly, Qahferokh, Qahofrokh, Qatarokh, and Qehfarukh) is a city in the Central District of Shahrekord County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 28,920, in 7,532 families. Farrokh Shahr is located 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from the provincial capital, Shahrekord. Most of the people who live in this city work in agriculture and industrial centers around the province. Driving the trucks and governmental jobs like teaching are the most popular jobs in the city.
