Gerome Ragni

Gerome Bernard Ragni (September 11, 1935 – July 10, 1991) was an American actor, singer and songwriter, best known as the co-author of the groundbreaking 1960s Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. Ragni was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, one of ten children from an impoverished Italian family He attended Georgetown University and The Catholic University of America. It was at the latter that he found a flair for the dramatic and he began studying acting with Philip Burton.
