Hack/Slash

Hack/Slash is an upcoming 2008 horror action thriller based on the comic book series of the same name created by Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli. The comics focus on the character of Cassie Hack, a horror victim, who eventually strikes back at the monsters, known as "slashers", with Vlad, her enigmatic muscular and gas mask wearing partner. Hack/Slash was pitched as a cross between Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Scream, playing on the concept of a "surviving female protagonist in a horror film, like Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street, transformed from being a victim to being a badass."
