Hansnes

Hansnes is a village and the administrative centre of Karlsøy municipality in Troms county, Norway. Its population (2009) is 305. The village is located on the northeast side of the island of Ringvassøy, along the Langsundet strait. By car, it is about 58 km (36 mi) northeast of the city of Tromsø. Hansnes is home to stores, gas station, bank, café, medical center, church, school, day care, and nursing homes. There is also a ferry connection to the nearby islands of Karlsøya, Vanna, and Reinøya.
