Heartbeats Accelerating

Heartbeats Accelerating is a 1990 album by the late Kate and Anna McGarrigle. It was their first album in seven years, after Love Over and Over in 1983, and received favourable reviews from many music critics. Bill Dillon, Pierre Marchand, Joel Zifkin and Kate's son Rufus Wainwright appear as guest musicians. The title track was covered by Linda Ronstadt, on her 1993 album Winter Light. Issued as a single, Ronstadt's version of the song peaked at #31 Adult Contemporary in the United States, and at #17 Pop in Canada. Songwriting credits for each track are listed below.
