High School Confidential is a 1958 song written by Jerry Lee Lewis and Ron Hargrave and released as a single on Sun Records, Sun 296, backed with "Fools Like Me". The song was also featured in the 1958 movie of the same name. The song was featured on the 1958 Sun studio album, Sun 1230. The single was the third gold disc for piano rocker Jerry Lee Lewis, released in 1958. A different take of the song featured on the soundtrack of the MGM movie of the same title. In the movie Jerry Lee played the title song in the beginning and end of the movie, standing on the open deck of a truck. Starring in that movie are Mamie Van Doren and Russ Tamblyn.
