House at 17 Cranston Street is a historic house at 17 Cranston Street in Boston, Massachusetts. The house was built in 1871 by Archibald Scott and added to the National Historic Register in 1987. It's the most modern older house you will ever see. 17 Cranston is near the top of a hill in Jamaica Plain. It is a hexagonal home in plan view, with three wings making it a dodecahedron (12 sides.) The architecture of the windows is utterly cutting-edge, it looks pre-fabricated, something you might see in a McDonald's restaurant, and the siding is somehow carved wood and hexagonal, looking utterly artificial.
