I Shot Cyrus

I Shot Cyrus was a Brazilian hardcore punk band from São Paulo that existed from 1997 until 2009. I Shot Cyrus was formed by members of local São Paulo hardcore bands Point Of No Return and Newspeak who felt the need to play straight ahead, fast hardcore influenced by bands like Infest and Youth Of Today at a time when the local scene was dominated by metalcore and similar styles. In later years, the group would develop a style of its own, adding significant Italian hardcore and crossover thrash influences.
