Jaidev

Jaidev Hindi:जयदेव वर्मा (3 August 1919-6 January 1987; born Jaidev Verma), was a music composer in Bollywood films, most known for his work in films: Hum Dono (1961), Reshma Aur Shera (1972), Prem Parbat (1973) and Gharonda (1977). He is the only music director in the Indian film industry (apart from A.R. Rahman and Ilayaraja) to have won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction, three times, Reshma Aur Shera (1972), Gaman (1979) and Ankahee (1985). Jaidev was born in Nairobi and brought up in Ludhiana, India. In 1933, when he was 15 years old, he ran away to Bombay to become a film star.
