Jim Chapman

James Louis "Jim" Chapman (born March 8, 1945 in Washington, D.C.) is an American business and political leader. From 1985 to 1997, he served as Democratic Congressman representing the Texas's 1st congressional district in the United States House of Representatives. His home town was Sulphur Springs. Chapman attended public schools in Sulphur Springs; he received an undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin (1968) and a law degree from the Southern Methodist University School of Law in Dallas, Texas (1970).
