John Money

John William Money (8 July 1921 – 7 July 2006) was a psychologist, sexologist and author, specializing in research into sexual identity and biology of gender. He has been the subject of controversy due to his work with the non-consensual sex-reassignment of David Reimer. Born in Morrinsville, New Zealand to a Plymouth Brethren family, Money initially studied psychology at Victoria University of Wellington, graduating with a double master's degree in Psychology and Education at the end of 1944.
