Johnny Ellis

Johnny Ellis is a Democratic member of the Alaska Senate, representing District L since 1992. He currently serves as the Senate Majority Leader. Previously he was a member of the Alaska House of Representatives from 1986 through 1992. He has been a resident of Anchorage, Alaska since 1975. Senator Ellis is an Eagle Scout (Boy Scouts of America). After graduating from Bartlett High School (Anchorage, Alaska) in 1978, he attended the University of Alaska Anchorage for one year, followed by 3 years at Claremont McKenna College, where he received a B.A. (with honors) in 1982.
