Karnail Pitts

Karnail Paul Pitts (January 5, 1978 - May 21, 1999) better known as Bugz, was a former member of the American hip hop group D12. On May 21, 1999, Bugz, a friend, and his friend's cousin were spending the afternoon at Detroit's Belle Isle Park. An altercation arose when a man sprayed Bugz' friend's cousin with a water gun and she took offence. A heated argument ensued which escalated into a fistfight, and Bugz intervened on his friend's behalf. At this point, a friend of the man with the water gun went into the trunk of his SUV and retrieved a rifle and drew it at Bugz, he fired three shots at close range, Bugz was hit in the neck and chest, and he was immediately knocked unconscious.
