Kitsissuarsuit (old spelling: Kitsigsuarssuit, Danish: Hunde Ejlande) is a settlement in the Qaasuitsup municipality, in western Greenland. The settlement was founded in 1830, although until 1817 the island was used as a whaling station. Its population is 79 as of 2010. Kitsissuarsuit is located on a small, 6 km (2.3 sq mi) island in southern Disko Bay, 21 km (13.0 mi) north of Aasiaat. Air Greenland serves the village as part of government contract, with winter-only helicopter flights from Kitsissuarsuit Heliport to Aasiaat Airport.
