Lake

Lake is an American indie pop band signed to the influential record label K Records, based in Olympia, WA. They are also known for composing the ending song to the popular Cartoon Network show Adventure Time, entitled "Christmas Island". A version of the song is featured on their third LP, Let's Build a Roof. Lake features male and female vocals backed by guitars, keyboards and occasionally horns. AllMusic.com refers to Lake as being "one of several brainy and sweet indie pop bands... to call the Pacific Northwest their home." These characteristics are noted in their reviews by Pitchfork Media as well. Like many artists on K Records, their style is somewhat lo-fi, but crafted in a very artful manner.
