Loyal

Loyal is a city in Clark County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 1,308 at the 2000 census. The city is located within the Town of Loyal, though it is politically independent. Its name comes from the 1860s, when so many of its patriotic pioneers went to fight in the Civil War. The city itself was established in the year 1870. Loyal is best known for its biggest event; the Loyal Corn Festival. In August 2011, it celebrated its 53rd annual Corn Festival, and its events included the usual truck/tractor pulls, concerts, carnival rides, dances, Spanky's Run, Jillybeans Dash, corn eating, talent shows, Corn Festival Parade, and more. New in 2011 included corn-eating contests, and a brand new group hosting the carnival. Loyal...
