Manhattan, AZ

Manhattan, AZ was a short-lived Mystery television show that aired on the USA Network during the Summer of 2000. An undercover Los Angeles, California transvestite vice cop loses his wife to a freak Green peace accident. In his despair he moves his son to Manhattan, AZ to become sheriff. The town is composed of many colorful characters and Area 61, an Air Force base that does mysterious scientific experiments. The situations over the top but all the dialogue is delivered deadpan. The episodes end with one of the actors speaking directly to the audience describing something in the episode with the end line of "We work in Television and we know better than you."
