Mijacogeo

"Mijacogeo" (also known as "The Frodis Caper") was an episode of The Monkees television show which first aired on NBC on March 25, 1968. Davy, Micky, and Mike awaken one morning to find Peter had not come to bed. They immediately look for him throughout their apartment. After some frustating moments, they find Peter entranced by an eye disguised by a test pattern appearing on their television screen. The other three Monkees manage to turn off the television before becoming entranced themselves. They go to their neighbors to investigate, and find a neighboring family entranced by the same test pattern.
