Qa\'em Shahr (also Ghaemshahr,Persian: قائمشهر) is a county in Mazandaran Province in Iran. The center of the county is Qa\'em Shahr. The city was previously known as Ali-ÂbÂd. With the Pahlavi dynasty, the city changed its name to Shahi in honor of Reza Shah, who was born in Alasht, a village close to Ali-Âbâd.
