Redbone

Redbone is a Native American rock group that was most active in the 1970s. They reached the Top 5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1974 with the million-selling gold-certified single, "Come and Get Your Love". Originally from Fresno, California, brothers Patrick Vasquez (bass and vocals) and Lolly Vasquez (guitar and vocals) moved to Los Angeles in 1969 to form the group Redbone. The name Redbone itself is a joking reference to a Cajun term for a mixed-race person ("half-breed"), the band's members being of mixed blood ancestry.
