River Rheidol

The River Rheidol is a river of mid Wales. The Rheidol catchment has an area of 100 square miles (300 km) and an average rainfall of 40 inches (1,000 mm). The Rheidol rises in the headwaters of the Nant y Moch reservoir (52°27′32″N 3°50′06″W / 52.4590°N 3.8349°W / 52.4590; -3.8349 (River Rheidol (source))) on the western flanks of Plynlimon and then flows south through the village of Ponterwyd on the main Aberystwyth to Rhayader road.
