Sarah Squire

Sarah Squire (born 18 July 1949), is a former British diplomat and has been President of Hughes Hall, one of the Colleges of the University of Cambridge, since 2006. Her maiden name was Hutchison. Sarah Hutchison (as she then was) read History at Newnham College, Cambridge, then entered HM Diplomatic Service. Her work as a diplomat took her to Israel, Washington, D.C., Senegal, Macedonia and Croatia. From 2000 to 2003 she was HM Ambassador in Estonia. In recent years her focus has been on the countries of eastern Europe and former Yugoslavia.
