Scott Salem

Scott Salem, often called Scott the Engineer, is the engineer for The Howard Stern Show. Although his primary function is to create soundbite and edit recordings for the show, Salem frequently intervenes in the show and is the object of jibes from Stern and the other castmembers. He once frustrated Stern so much that Stern called him a retard, for which he later apologized. Salem is known for having nicotine-stained hands from years of chain smoking. He claims to have very bad luck, and has recalled that when he was a child, his mother remarked that the Salem family has a black cloud over their heads as demonstrated by extremely bad luck.
