Stephen Moore

Stephen Colin Moore (born November 11, 1980 in Johannesburg, South Africa) is an English cricketer. Moore is a right-handed opening batsman (and part-time right-arm medium pace bowler) who plays first-class cricket for Lancashire County Cricket Club. He previously played for Worcestershire from 2003 until 2009. Educated at St Stithians College in Johannesburg and at Exeter University, from which he graduated MEng, Moore is also a keen saxophonist. His highest score is 246, scored against Derbyshire in May 2005. In 2008 he was the first player to reach 1,000 runs for the season, during the course of an innings of 139 against Gloucestershire.
