Discussion & Reviews

My friends and I would see the Allman Brothers every year at Jazz Fest. The best was one year we were dancing around and I looked to my right... and there was one of my professors shirtless partying with his friends. We just gave each other the nod and continued enjoying the show.

To me, the Allmans meet all of your criteria; great albums esp. thru Eat a Peach, great live shows & there was nobody cooler than Duane Allman and the rest of the Brothers. Fly on Skydog...They should probably be rated a little higher IMHO.

Yeah, if I was old enuf to have seen Duane-era Allmans live I would probably rate them a bit higher. They did lose some points for the weak incarnations in the late 70s.
