Discussion & Reviews

First of all, the title is Jungle Book, so you're already walking a thin line. Second, the jive talking ape (King Louie) was voiced by a white man. Finally that ape says, " "I want to be like you. Oh, yes, it's true. I want to walk like you, talk like you do. ... An ape like me can learn to be human, too."

I think this is where people get too sensitive and look for something that isn't there. 1) yes he talks like a Jazzy kind of guy, does it really matter that he was voiced by a white guy -__-'. But just because that's how his voice and character is doesn't mean he's symbolically a black man whose saying he wants to be white -___- the little boy isn't even white!! The monkey King just wants to have a society like humans, that's it. And how is 'Jungle book' a racey title?! It takes place in Indian Jungles. Since when was the word Jungle racist ;:| but omg the panther and PaPa bear have black fur, and PaPa bear is big and stupid. Omg so racist ;:| being overly sensitive is worse than a silly stereotype and finding it offensive. Like fried chicken and watermelon...who cares D: are black people not allowed to like it or be shown liking it because it was a really weird stereoype
