University of Chicago Medical Center

The University of Chicago Medical Center forms a major center for medical care and research in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Established in 1927 as the University of Chicago Hospitals, the hospitals are affiliated with and run by the University of Chicago, and serve as teaching hospitals for students of the institution's Pritzker School of Medicine. In 2007, the University of Chicago Medical Center was again ranked among the best in the country by U.S. News & World Report.
