Disney villains come in many forms. Some, like the evil sorcerer Jafar (&#39;Aladdin&#39;) and the &quot;Mistress of All Evil,&#39; Maleficent (&#39;Sleeping Beauty&#39;), have magical powers that allow them to wreak havoc on their poor, unsuspecting victims. Equally as often, however, thin historical homages are hidden within popular TV shows - characters that are real-life people in everything but name. The world of sci-fi produces some of the biggest and baddest villains around, and the bigger they are, the&nbsp;harder they fall. When the villains from this genre are given a taste of their own medicine, it involves, say, fiery falls from skyscrapers experienced in slow motion due to all the futuristic drugs they&#39;re on. Or, if a bad guy is really unlucky, using a kaiju to terrorize thousands of people results in an opposing&nbsp;kaiju showing up to throw him hundreds of feet through the air to his demise. Everyone loves a bad guy. Well, until they get boring. There&#39;s nothing worse than watching one of your favorite shows or movies and coming to the conclusion that you just can&#39;t stand seeing the baddie anymore. It rarely has anything to do with the actor;&nbsp;they&#39;re just trying to make the screenplay work. More often than not, villains who&#39;ve worn out their welcome are a product of filmmakers getting away from what was good about the character in the first place.

Villain fatigue occurs when someone like Emperor Palpatine, Freddy Krueger, or Lex Luthor keeps coming back even after they&#39;ve been defeated. They don&#39;t change or grow, they just keep trying to take over the galaxy/get revenge on the children of Elm Street/stop Superman, and their attempts at evil grow more outlandish with every iteration.

Walt's evolution from mild-mannered school teacher and family man to ruthless criminal mastermind and murderer is the show's central focus.
Although AMC officials hesitated to cast Cranston due to his previous comedic role on Malcolm in the Middle, Gilligan cast him based on the actor's past performance in the X-Files episode "Drive", which Gilligan wrote.

Lex Luthor is a fictional character from the television series Smallville. He was a series regular from the pilot episode until the season seven finale, and has been played continuously by Michael Rosenbaum, with various actors portraying Lex as a child throughout the series. Azazel is a fictional character on The CW Television Network's drama and horror television series Supernatural. He serves as the primary antagonist during the first two seasons. A demon, he feeds his blood to infants so that they will grow up to develop demonic abilities. His goal of using one such child to release Lucifer is not revealed until much later in the series.
