Sam shrugs of these stories until one day he goes home to find his father missing. He injures himself and ends up in the hospital. Upon waking up, he meets Rocket Racoon and Gamora who tell him that his father was telling the truth. Sam puts on his father's helmet and takes up the mantle as the last Nova.
