These sitcoms, variety shows and even some animated favorites gave us a reason to laugh until we cried or wet our pants. We know everyone has their own definition of hilarious which is why we're letting you decide on which series are the funniest television shows of 2011. Add your favorites by voting for the ones you love and adding your own list below!

Whether the best comedy shows from 2011 were recognized with award nominations, like those which were honored in the Best Comedy Series Emmy Award category or were too outrageous to appease all critics, each brought something special to the table to keep our cheeks hurting from excessive laughter.

Mainstream favorites, such as those on broadcast networks like ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX, perhaps earned the most recognition from awards shows with the likes of "The Big Bang Theory," "Modern Family," "Glee," "The Office," "Parks and Recreation" and "30 Rock" among the most nominated during the year. Others, such as those you'll find on Comedy Central or MTV, like the obnoxious animated shows like "South Park" and "Beavis & Butthead," kept viewers rolling with dark and often distasteful humor.

However these favorite funny shows worked to make us laugh, they all succeeded brilliantly and easily earned their spot on this list of the funniest TV shows of 2011.
