List Rules Only men's professional tennis players

Who are the greatest men's tennis players of all time? When you're talking about the best players over a period of decades in any sport, the list is probably going to be long, and highly debatable. This list includes some of the greatest male tennis players to ever step on the court. And yes, they include those who played pre-1968, though many listed here are among the greatest male tennis players of the open era (post-'68). Vote for the best, vote down any players you don't think deserve a spot up top and of course, feel free to rerank this list however you want. Any list of outstanding male tennis players should include names like Roger Federer, John McEnroe, Rafael Nadal and Björn Borg—as these guys are easily the top tennis players. Debate about who gets the number one spot might get heated, but all of us probably agree that the names listed here should be considered among the best, and in some cases, some of the greatest athletes of all time, regardless of sport. Now that you've perused this list of the greatest men's tennis players ever, why not vote for the ladies on this list of the greatest women's tennis players of all time, too?
