The Most Anticipated Fall Shows of 2012
List Rules Only new and continuing shows for the fall 2012 season. (No Midseason Please.)
The new TV shows for fall 2012 are some of the most diverse in recent years. The line up includes shows from fan favorites like J.J. Abrams, Mindy Kaling and Eric Kripke. The 2012 autumn TV schedule is one of the packed as well. NBC, ABC, CBS, CW and the rest of the networks have gone out of their way to produce more new shows this fall than in the past. The new fall line up for 2012 is brimming with comedies ("Animal Practice", "Go On" and "Guys With Kids"), dramas ("Last Resort", "Vegas" and "Nashville"), sci-fi/geeky action/thrillers ("Revolution", "Arrow" and "Beauty and the Beast") and even a new twist on the old Sherlock Holmes story with "Elementary".
Even with all the new shows for the 2012 fall season, there are still plenty of returning favorites. Comedies like "Modern Family", "New Girl" and "Mike and Molly", dramas like "Revenge", "CSI" and "The Walking Dead" and, of course, the procedural like "CSI" and "Criminal Minds".
Though the fall 2012 TV season is much less hyped than last year, there seems to be many more bright spots in the line up. One can only hope that this means there will be a lot less cancellations than last year, but it will be fun to see which ones live through their freshman year and which only make it a few episodes.
