But sometimes, screenwriters and creators&nbsp;push things way too far, especially when it comes to practical stuff like explaining how characters can manage to live in high-cost neighborhoods and buy expensive clothes when they&rsquo;re supposed to be struggling with cash. How can Carrie Bradshaw afford to live in Manhattan while all she does is write a weekly column, for crying out loud? It can be frustrating to watch a TV character&nbsp;who is&nbsp;supposed to be poor sport a designer jacket while living in a spacious loft in Brooklyn like it&rsquo;s no big deal. TV creators sometimes come up with a gimmick that explains their lavish lifestyle, which usually involves a spectacular apartment being rent controlled (as if).

Honestly, seeing your favorite characters struggling&nbsp;to make rent while sipping pricey cocktails, having extensive wardrobes, and brunching like there&rsquo;s no tomorrow&nbsp;is distracting and can rob you of the pleasure of truly enjoying the show.&nbsp;If you can&rsquo;t go out and blow your entire paycheck on fancy shoes&nbsp;and a lavish night out, console yourself with the fact that some of your favorite characters would be financially ruined in reality. Mark was also the only original character to die, and his death at the end of Season 8 marked one of the biggest turning points in the series.

Dean Winchester

Dean Winchester is a fictional character and one of the two protagonists of The CW Television Network's Supernatural. He is mainly portrayed by Jensen Ackles, with other versions of the character having been portrayed by Hunter Brochu, Ridge Canipe, Nicolai Lawton-Giustra, Brock Kelly and Dylan Everett, and Chad Everett.
Dean hunts demons, spirits and other supernatural creatures with the help of his younger brother Sam and occasionally with their friend and father figure Bobby Singer and, since season four, his friend the angel Castiel.

Charlie Pace

Charlie Pace is a fictional character on ABC's Lost, a television series chronicling the lives of plane crash survivors on a mysterious tropical island. Played by Dominic Monaghan, Charlie was a regular character in the first three seasons, and continued to make occasional appearances until the final season.
Charlie is introduced as one of the main characters in the pilot episode. Flashbacks from the series show that prior to the plane crash, Charlie was a member of a rock band named Drive Shaft. Initially, Charlie battles with an addiction to heroin. He ultimately achieves sobriety, while establishing a romantic relationship with Claire Littleton (Emilie de Ravin), and acting as a father figure to Claire's son Aaron. In addition, Charlie also develops close friendships with Hugo "Hurley" Reyes (Jorge Garcia), and Desmond Hume (Henry Ian Cusick).
In season three of the show, Charlie begins to face his inevitable death when fellow castaway Desmond repeatedly foresees Charlie's demise. In the season three finale "Through the Looking Glass", Charlie drowns at the hands of Mikhail Bakunin (Andrew Divoff), sacrificing himself in an effort to save the other survivors. Due to Lost's non-linear presentation of events and supernatural elements, Charlie makes several appearances in seasons four and six of the series. Charlie is prominent in the series finale, "The End".



Tenth Doctor

The Tenth Doctor is an incarnation of the Doctor, the protagonist of the BBC science fiction television programme Doctor Who. He is played by Scottish actor David Tennant in three series as well as nine specials. As with previous incarnations of the Doctor, the character has also appeared in other Doctor Who spin-offs. In the programme's narrative, the Doctor is a centuries-old Time Lord alien from the planet Gallifrey who travels in time in his TARDIS, frequently with companions. When the Doctor is critically injured beyond medical repair, he can regenerate his body; in doing so, his physical appearance and personality change, and a new actor assumes the role. Tennant's portrayal of the Doctor is of an outwardly charismatic and charming adventurer whose likeable and easygoing attitude can quickly turn to righteous fury.
This incarnation's companions include working class shop assistant Rose Tyler, medical student Martha Jones, and fiery temp worker Donna Noble.

Joyce Summers

Joyce Summers is a fictional character in the action-horror television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Played by Kristine Sutherland, Joyce is the mother of the main character, Buffy Summers, and appears in 58 of the 144 episodes.
The premise of the series is that Buffy is the latest Slayer, a young woman endowed by mystical forces with superhuman powers to fight and defeat vampires, demons, and other evil forces in the fictional town of Sunnydale. Like every Slayer before her, she was chosen and informed of her destiny when she was 15 years old. Her mother is unaware of her daughter's powers and responsibilities until Buffy is forced to tell her at the end of the second season of the television series. Although Joyce is shocked at this revelation, she recovers quickly and remains a source of stability for Buffy and Buffy's small circle of friends who assist her, dubbed the Scooby Gang. Eventually Joyce is able to take Buffy's dangerous demon-fighting in stride and even become proud and respectful of her daughter's abilities. Her natural death from an illness in the fifth season forces Buffy to face becoming an adult.

Dr Lance Sweets

Lance Sweets, Ph.D., Psy.D., is a fictional character in the American television series Bones. He was portrayed by John Francis Daley.
Daley first made three guest appearances as Sweets during the first eight episodes of Season 3, first appearing in "The Secret in the Soil". He was promoted to a series regular and appeared in the opening credits beginning with the episode "The Santa in the Slush". He also guest-starred on the spin-off The Finder. The character is killed off in the first episode of the show's tenth season, "The Conspiracy in the Corpse", making him the first main character of Bones to die.

Hershel Greene

Hershel Greene is a fictional character from the comic book series The Walking Dead and is portrayed by Scott Wilson in the American television series of the same name. He is the widowed owner of a farm in Georgia and has previous experience in the veterinary fields. A devout Christian, with uncompromising morals and a stubborn attitude, Hershel remains fiercely protective of his large family, despite his many losses. In both mediums, he is initially introduced saving the life of Carl Grimes, the son of Rick Grimes after he is shot by one of Hershel's neighbors, Otis, and becomes the moral center of the group.
In the comic book series, Hershel is a farmer who initially exhibits a cold and cantankerous demeanor, before opening up to Rick Grimes and his fellow survivors, proving to be a gentle man at heart. He becomes a deeply religious man after the loss of his wife, and is of Jewish heritage. He spreads hope and reassurance to his fellow survivors, in particular, his second-born daughter, Maggie Greene and his youngest son, Billy Greene.

Glenn

Glenn is a fictional character from the comic book series The Walking Dead and is portrayed by Steven Yeun in the AMC television series of the same name. He is also voiced by Nick Herman in the video game of the same name, by Telltale Games. In the comics, he was known simply as Glenn and was not given a last name. Glenn was Maggie's boyfriend-turned-husband, and takes the role of surrogate father to Sophia following the suicide of Carol, her biological mother.
In the television series, he mentioned that his parents were Korean immigrants who lived in Michigan. Like the comics he is first seen saving the life of series protagonist Rick Grimes and he, and his group, bring them back to the Atlanta camp where he becomes the group's leader. Eventually when seeking shelter at the Greene farm he forms a crush on resident Maggie Greene, who forms a sexual relationship with him when she learns this, but she quickly realizes that she's fallen in love with him which makes him emotionally conflicted but eventually comes to terms with it.

Buffy Summers

Buffy Anne Summers is a fictional character from Joss Whedon's Buffy the Vampire Slayer franchise. She first appeared in the 1992 film Buffy the Vampire Slayer before going on to appear in the television series and subsequent comic book of the same name. The character has also appeared in the spin-off series Angel, as well as numerous non-canon expanded universe material, such as novels, comics, and video games. Buffy was portrayed by Kristy Swanson in the film, and later by Sarah Michelle Gellar in the television series. Giselle Loren has lent her voice to the character in both the Buffy video games and an unproduced animated series, while Kelly Albanese lent her voice to the character in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight motion comics.
Buffy is the protagonist of the story, and the series depicts her life and adventures as she grows up. In the film, she is a high school cheerleader who learns that she is the Slayer. The television series shows Buffy carrying out her destiny in a small town built atop a portal to hell, surrounded by a group of friends and family who support her in her mission.

George O'Malley is a fictional character from the medical drama television series Grey's Anatomy, which airs on the American Broadcasting Company in the United States. Jackson Nathaniel "Jax" Teller is a fictional character and the protagonist on the FX television series Sons of Anarchy, played by British actor Charlie Hunnam. He was the President of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club's Redwood Original chapter based in Charming, California. Until the end of season four, he was the Vice President of the club. He has a number of tattoos, most notably his club's logo on his back, a tribute to his father John Teller on his right arm, his son Abel's name on his chest, and his second son, also the name of his deceased brother, Thomas on his left arm. John Eric Winchester is a fictional character on The CW Television Network's drama/horror television series Supernatural, and the protagonist of the comic book spin-off series Supernatural: Origins. Developed by series creator Eric Kripke, the character is mainly portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. John is the father of Sam and Dean Winchester, the show's protagonists.
Seeking revenge after his wife Mary was killed by the demon Azazel, John Winchester became a hunter and raised his two sons to fight the supernatural. John disappears early in Supernatural, and the first season revolves primarily around Sam and Dean trying to find him. Morgan was also filming episodes of Grey's Anatomy while the first season of Supernatural was under production, and future appearances of the character were hindered by his busy schedule. While Morgan's portrayal has been praised, fans and critics were generally frustrated at the character for keeping so many secrets.
